I am Marie Brockmann, a German film editor (BFS). In April 2024 I successfully completed my studies at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg as a Diplom Filmeditor. Before that, I graduated as a video editor from the Bavarian Academy for Television and Digital Media in 2017 and also obtained my Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro certificate. Even during my training, I worked in various areas of film and media production, which allowed me to gain a wide range of experience.
At the beginning of my career, I worked as a junior video editor and production assistant in the advertising film industry. I worked on projects for companies such as MINI, BMW and Webasto. Later, I worked as a junior news editor at Sky Sport News HD for almost two years. During my studies at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, I was able to further develop and deepen my skills.
I have also been working as a freelance editor since 2020 and have gained extensive experience in various areas - including short films, documentaries, commercials, product and image films, reports, social media content and trailers.
In 2023, I was awarded the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship, which recognizes my outstanding achievements and commitment.
With my diverse experience, technical know-how and passion for creative work, I look forward to taking on new challenges and realizing exciting projects in the film and media industry.
